Cups for either cold or room temperature drinks. PLA, or polylactic acid, is a bioplastic derived from natural resources such as corn, sugar beet, sugar cane and cassava. Our line of PLA products is certified in accordance with standard EN 13432, which requires that a material is compostable and biodegradable. One of the features of PLA is its low heat resistance, which is why it is perfect for cold or room-temperature food. Nevertheless, if PLA is subjected to a crystallisation process, we are left with CPLA, which, by contrast, has high heat resistance.
