WeForest is an international non-profit organisation dedicated to the restoration and conservation of forests in different regions of the world. Its mission is to tackle climate change by planting trees, protecting forest ecosystems, and promoting sustainable practices that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and preserve biodiversity.

At García de Pou, we collaborate with one of its projects in the Atlantic region of Brazil, an area rich in species diversity that plays a key role in climate change mitigation thanks to its capacity to absorb and store carbon.

This project focuses not only on the reforestation and protection of inland forests but also on promoting sustainable agricultural and livestock practices, thereby reducing pressure on natural resources and offering local communities environmentally friendly economic alternatives.

You can learn more about our partnership with WeForest on its official partners’ page and explore further details about the project’s progress in the annual activity report.

WeForest’s goal is ambitious: to grow millions of trees and restore hundreds of thousands of hectares of forests in the coming years, directly contributing to the fight against climate change, the protection of wildlife and the preservation of natural resources.

To achieve this, the organisation applies sustainable technologies and practices across all its projects, working closely with local communities to ensure their engagement and the development of environmentally responsible economic models.

WeForest works with a broad network of NGOs, businesses and public administrations at international level. This collaboration with different stakeholders is essential to the success of its projects, as it makes it possible to pool resources, knowledge and strengths to achieve common reforestation and conservation goals.
