The highlights from our participation in the Milan HOST 2017 Fayre.
Garcia de Pou took part in the well-known Host Fayre of Milan, (October 20th until October 24th), which has become a world reference in the HoReCa sector after holding 40 editions.
As we told you in a previous article, Garcia de Pou began its exporting career in 1986. Today this activity creates 40 % of our total sales. The Italian market is our third largest, after France and Portugal.
We confirmed once again our solid relationship with the Italian market at the Fayre, while also receiving visits from distributors and wholesalers from Central and Eastern Europe, Chile, Argentina, and Middle Eastern countries like Qatar and Saudi Arabia, for whom the tourist sector is an economic engine. We also had the opportunity to initiate interesting relationships with companies from the United States, with the firm intention of developing our presence in this market.
We reaffirm ourselves as a manufacturer of recyclable products
As we have been following a marketing line of being «more eco-friendly day by day», this year we ensured more visibility was given to our Ecolabel products that are disposable while still respecting the environment. Therefore we decided to present a stand entirely made of recycled pasteboard: even the tables and stools! This was greatly admired and reaffirmed us as recyclable disposable product manufacturers. Our bestsellers
Our clients confirm that the products in most demand products are, among others:
- 100 % ecological napkins from our Feel Green range are made exclusively from recycled material, avoiding raw material coming directly from forests but using rejected office papers. Furthermore, we print them with compostable and non-toxic inks.
- The section of recycled receptacles for take aways: kraft pasteboard conches for hamburgers, recycled pasteboard cones and glasses for chips, Feel Green sandwich envelopes, etc.
- The innovative Spunlace Like-Linen napkin printed on both sides, surprises with it’s cloth texture and highest quality.
We woud like to share that in addition to the leading role that the recyclable products range received, we have also received repeated positive feedback on our Spunlace Like-Linen napkins. They are highly innovative products that are accepted well in the top level hospitality businesses, providing a solution in restaurants for the upper intermediate classes. These restaurants have choosen to stop depending on laundry services but must maintain their quality standards.
One of our strengths
If there is one sentence that has been repeatedly said during meetings with several distributors and wholesalers, it is that Garcia de Pou offers a very complete catalogue where the wholesaler can find innovative products. Whichever sector the customer is from, whatever enables the client to make group orders, reducing the suppliers list and gaining competitiveness in the shipments is offered.
