New items in the 2019/2020 catalogue (IV)

With this week’s post, we would like to finish presenting all the news from our catalogue. As we’ve seen in recent posts, the new additions to our catalogue offer eco-friendly solutions and reflect a major commitment by García de Pou to sustainability in our products.

One new feature in this regard are the additions to our entire range of paper straws made from liquid-resistant cellulose supplied in eco-friendly packaging. We boast a wide range of variations: flexible or straight, standard or jumbo straws for slushy drinks, short straws for cocktails, wrapped or unwrapped, with or without a spoon and much more, together with new selections and some kids’ variations.

Our new bio-lacquered carboard plates are another fine example of this commitment, which are 100% biodegradable, compostable and recyclable, free from plastic coatings and grease resistant. They come in various formats: round, round with an embossed border, or square, both in white and natural kraft. Cardboard plates are an affordable alternative for replacing plastic plates, which have been banned under the European Directive on single-use plastics as from 2021.

This time we’ve also expanded our highly-regarded range of areca palm leaf dishes, which are made from naturally-fallen palm-leaves, a material that breaks down slowly and does not pollute. We also have new items in our selection of mini tubs for sauces and small containers for appetisers, which will give your cocktails a natural touch, as well as spoons, canoe containers, containers with lids and special triangular plates for pizza slices. Palm-leaf is highly versatile, as it is suitable for liquids and oil-resistant, as well as being freezer, microwave and oven safe. Although it doesn’t belong to the Areca range, another highlight are our selection of natural coconut bowls, perfect for ice cream and desserts.

We also present new items in our Bionic line — disposable dishes made from bagasse, the natural residue left over from extracting the juice from sugar cane. Highlights include square and round salad bowls, tubs with lids and take-away food trays with compartments. Don’t forget that the Bionic range is biodegradable and compostable. What’s more, our disposable Wood dishes made from poplar wood boast new containers, bowls and plates.
