These are words of Ramon Moscardó, the artist that Garcia de Pou has chosen this year to create the cover of the new catalogue. Every year we select a well-known artist for making art fitting in everywhere, even in the cover of our catalog. Mariscal, Manel Anoro, Forges, Pitxot, Vives Fierro and Leonard Beard have already done their bit in helping this mission.
Ramon Moscardó
Ramon Moscardó was born in Barcelona but he has been living in Cadaqués (Alt Empordà, Girona) for the last 25 years. It is common to find daily scenes in cities, villages, streets, bars and terraces among his works. Every day situations and ordinary people take shape in happy and colourful pictures where most of the faces show a smile and look relaxed, expressing optimism and the pleasure of simple moments. In his landscapes, he rarely forgets to paint the sea; you can easily tell that he lives surrounded by the blue of the Mediterranean.
Many of the scenes that Ramon Moscardó paints are located in bars and terraces , and show the enjoyment of every single moment, from having coffee to eating.
The cover painting of this year’s catalogue is a new homage to the simple joyful moments that the Mediterranean climate permits almost every day of the year… and of course, the effort of the hotelery professionals who create the right environment for these special memories .
The 2016 catalogue is full of innovations that we have introduced and developed throughout the year, adapting to current demands. From the date we issue a new catalogue we start working on the next one. We are always researching and developing new products that improve the experience of the HORECA professionals and the product users.
This cover is a homage to the effort of the hoteliers in creating the right scenarios for the joyful moments of their clients.
