GARCÍA DE POU, with its headquarters in the Alt Emporda region (Girona, Spain), manufactures and sells non-food products for the hotel and catering industry, for which it is a reference brand. In its comprehensive over-250 page yearly catalogue, all types of paper and cardboard products can be found, such as napkins, cups, bags, tablecloths, hygienic rolls, cutlery and plastic packaging.

 GARCÍA DE POU has over 8,000 clients and exports 35% of its production. Since 2004, it has also directed itself to the domestic consumer market.

  In 1884, Luis Garcia, the first station head of Figueres and married to Francisca de Pou, changed his life completely and set up a manual production plant for paper bags, which he called GARCÍA DE POU. Throughout the 20th century, the company continued to make and print paper products.

  With the arrival of the tourist boom in the 1960s, Luis Garcia, a fourth generation family member, consolidated the company’s industrial activities by focusing his energies on the Ho.Re.Ca market. In 1974, he moved the company from Figueres to Vila-Sacra.

  In February 2002, GARCÍA DE POU opened its 17,000 m2 manufacturing plant at Ordis, a privileged logistical location, to cover markets in the south of Europe.
